She is Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, the last Dragon-blood, the last Targaryen, Mhysa. She is Daenerys Targaryen. She is the only true (women) ruler in the brutal world of Game Of Thrones. And when she is not busy winning battles and hearts around the seven kingdoms, she is your quintessential fashionista, one who is ever-evolving season after season. Emilia Clarke in her career-defining role has changed the meaning of being a blond and so much more.
Daenerys’ is one character whose fashion in the series is very detailed. So much so that its really difficult not to notice her sartorial choices even amidst so much blood-bath and nakedness to distract you, among a host of other things. Yet, it never overpowers her substance or the story-line. In that subtlety lies the true genius of her stylist and costume designer Michele Clapton. Daenerys’ fashion and style are the integral part of the evolution of her character.
